RoseWynde performs throughout the beautiful Willamette Valley in Oregon. Inspired by pastoral settings and dramatic landscapes set between the coastal mountains and the majestic volcanic peaks of the Cascade range, RoseWynde’s music is lyrical and fresh; yet as well-grounded as the bucolic traditions of the valley . Sandy Duffy Norman and Kathryn Cater found a kinship, not only in their love of both classical and traditional music, but in their devotion to students, dogs, and the garden. Sandy plays a handmade gold Powell flute and Kathy plays a rosewood Aoyama Musa. On RoseWynde's newest CD, Winter Ayres, they have added a violin to selected songs - the violinist is Ann Beesley, who performed for many years with the Oregon Symphony.
