i've been looking for something like this for a long time. this is like drowning in a sea of concrete while some one slowly pounds the hardened parts with a jackhammer fueled by tranquilizers. honestly it isn't for everybody but any form of art that challenges you never is.

halo almost always gets compared to godflesh and the swans. while i hear it somewhat in the vocals the music is totaly unique. its like pure walls of feedback punched through with ocasional drum beats. i've been looking for something like this for a long time and now my search is over. its amzing that only two people can make music this layered and intresting. even though its at half the speed it ...

This album is very harsh but a bit more accessable than Halo's later albums. There's a definate nod to Neurosis and Godflesh in this album, but Halo are by no means slavish imitators. This album stands in its own world, on its own merit. A good starting point for those interested in exploring Halo's beautifully horrible world.
