The d.n.a. project, meaning d.irect n.oise a.ttack, is a music production ideal, developed and maintained by the portuguese musician, Daniel Duarte.
He lives music since he was 10, when he first had piano lessons. At the time he had no idea he would worship keyboards years later.
Shortly after owning his first computer, he got interested in music software (mainly sequencers). Years went on, and the production game got more serious. In July 2002 the 'Dna Project' was born.
With the years also came experience and his music started to raise some good reviews from friends, fan's and artists.
In October 2003, his remix of Dream Gate's song "Lsd", was very apreciated. People started talking and enjoying this new guy in the scene. Soon after that, he produced a track called "The Gap" that pushed him forward a little bit more.
The track reached Suria's ears and they started talking over the web. Suria not only gave Daniel an extra trust in himself, he also proposed him a live act performance for a month later.
This was really a push up for Daniel, as Dna Project started *releasing* tracks almost every week, acomplishing the goal of a 60 minute performance in less than a month.
Nowdays, he continues to experiment and evolve with his techniques and he is currently starting a night trance project, with another known portuguese producer.
Currently signed on Kagdila Records, LA USA. |
