The only thing is you The only thing is you
Fighting for your own life With the world outside Don't ask yourself what others think
The only thing is you
Fighting for your own life It is your own responsibility which makes you rich inside
When you're losing touch When you're losing touch With the world outside Desires forcing endless hunger For needless things The only thing is you Which adds significance It is your own responsibility Which makes you rich inside
Don't strive for all the gold Which adds significance To your life And that of your friends too
The only thing is you Which adds significance To your life And that of your friends and relatives too
The only thing is you Which adds significance to your own life The only thing is you The only thing is you |

| Lyrics: |
I see you give it all you've got But you still seem tied up in a knot You, say you're so afraid to need And I, I think you're just afraid of me
You're so worried, could you love me Enough that I would stay Would I be there for you always Where there's a will there's a way
I believe there's nothin' we can't do And I believe you wanna feel it too Just take a chance, it's all that we need Tell me that you believe
I, I could be your special place If you let me, but you always need your space You say that soon we'll have it all So why - is our love still at a crawl?
Are you worried could you love me Don't you think that I would stay Could you be there for me always Where there's a will there's a way
I believe there's nothing we can't do And I believe you wanna feel it too Just take a chance, it's all that we need Tell me that you believe Cause baby I believe
I believe there's nothing we can't do And I believe you wanna feel it too Just take a chance, it's all that we need Tell me that you believe
I know I've found myself in you And that's why I I gotta know you feel it too I'm not worried that you love me I can see it on your face So believe me, when you're ready I know I'll hear you say
I believe there's nothing we can't do And I believe you wanna feel it too Just take a chance, it's all that we need Tell me that you believe
(Now I believe...) I believe there's nothing we can't do And I believe you wanna feel it too Just take a chance, it's all that we need Tell me that you believe
(Now I believe...) I believe there's nothing we can't do And I believe you wanna feel it too Just take a chance, it's all that we need Tell me that you believe
(Now I believe...) I believe there's nothing we can't do And I believe you wanna feel it too Just take a chance, it's all that we need Tell me that you believe
Cause that's what I believe |

It's so cold when north winds blow bringing hail and pearls of frost that's the way that you do chill me to the bone Fear the dark when the moon hides all its beams behind the clouds that's the way I fear when you are not around
It could be hell, it could be heaven could be both it cuold be neither but my heart longs to surrender not to starve again bitter in my chest
could it be? could it be... that i'm burning in the flame of love (burn) I am burning in the flame of love (burn) I am burning I am burning
Oh I burn in the flame of love but that's the way that you do chill me to the bone
that's the way that you do chill me to the bone

"This song has a smooth fluid feel that is relaxing as well as inviting at the same time. It is always awesome to hear an artist that is using mood and technique as well as feeling does not have to "show" you they are talented but lets the combination of sounds tell you the talent is there!". |

Review by Mark Hewer, Windsor, Ontario, Canada
"'One Night' is more than just an explosive club track. This song is a hard driving, brilliantly produced example of what happens when you combine skilled guitar playing with melodic, imaginative synth melodies.
All this, backed by a straight ahead rythym section that blows through your chest wall like a canon, leaves the listener spellbound. The guitar riffs in 'One Night' are remniscent of Toto, yet totally original in both sound and style, showcasing the unique Charvel 12 string hardbody.
The lyrics are well thought out and the vocal performance is smooth and emotional. The bottom end has the depth of Genesis, and coupled with the precise high end, utilizes the full spectrum of graphic equalization for the serious audiophile and discriminating listener.
There are no missing elements to this track, from the songwriting ability to the final mixdown, 'One Night' is radio ready, and destined to be a hit!" |

| Lyrics: |
Give me just one night And I will make it right I need this chance I want this dance I need to be with you
I want this dance She tosses her hair to smile
I need this chance I want this dance I need to be with you
To see her sip the wine She tosses her hair to smile
I need this chance I need to be with you And I will make it right I need this chance I want this dance I need to be with you
It's no wonder why I feel this deep inside And I will make it right
What I'm contemplating Give me just one night And I will make it right
Give me just one night And I will make it right I need this chance I want this dance I need to be with you
I need this night alone One night alone with you Only one night
I need this chance I need to be with you And I will make it right
I need this chance I want this dance I need to be with you I want this life to be All yours and mine And I will make it right
I need to be with you And I will make it right
One night I need to be with you

| Lyrics: |
Soon we'll find no more heaven They're signing us up for death 'Cause walls are growing to the sky
Then we notice the people On our streets all around And realize there's an enemy sound
CHORUS Tell me where is the wisdom and where is the truth All our prophets told us the rules (before) Now the spotlight wants soldiers who fight for their rights Who've been robbed blind of their sight
Just for the leaders affectation All the captive's have to run Families without a home are prain' to the sun
Our Children's toy is fear now And nothing seems as unreal As the inhuman urge to kill
CHORUS Tell me where is the wisdom and where is the truth All our prophets told us the rules before Now the spotlight wants soldiers who fight for their rights Who've been robbed blind of their sight
BRIDGE Why can't we Start to see The end of all fights
Lord tell me Aren't we Ready for life
CHORUS Tell me where is the wisdom and where is the truth All our prophets told us the rules before Now the spotlight wants soldiers who fight for their rights Who've been robbed blind of their sight |

***Review by Mrs. Phoenix, housewife, Hereford-UK: "Good car music." :(((( Comment by MP3.com Trance-Guru Starcatcher:Really like the acidy type line that plays throughout and adds an interesting dimension to the track. Made me yearn for a more clubby beat to complement it though. Another good track though, reminds me of your remix of Sexy DJ in that it has an older fashioned style but with some more up to date sounds added which really lifts the track.Ross (http://www.mp3.com/starcatcher) |

Just let me be the passion
When I see you walking down the street
Just let me be the passion
Where I want to swim
Could you be the one for me
my everything
could you be the...passion
Could you be the one for me
my everything
so could you be the ocean in the loversland
where I want to swim
When I see you walking down the street
let me be the passsion in the scene
When I see you walking down the street
it feels like thousand raindrops in the heat
when I see you walk
it feels like thousand raindrops in the heat
just let me be the one thing of your dream
lalalalalalala...
Could you be the one for me
my everything
so could you be the ocean in the loversland
where I want to swim
when I see you walking
it feels like thousand raindrops in the heat
when I see you walk

| Lyrics: |
winter is over the morning slipped away right over your shoulder a little twist of fate
all of your labours and all of your pain make you the person that you are today
you got me believing in this state of grace
some things are worth the wait you gotta believe it
worth the wait worth the wait worth the wait worth the wait
a day might be coming when all's in disarray and all the things that keep on burning your brain won't matter anyway
you got it together on the worst of days
some things are worth the wait some things are worth the wait you gotta believe it
worth the wait
you got me believing let's set the record straight
some things are worth the wait some things are worth the wait you gotta believe it some things are worth the wait some things are worth the wait worth the wait worth the wait worth the wait |

"Definitely a power packed song, filled with wonder of encouragement of future good things to come, this song says love can conquer all , the music takes you to a uplifting heart of which embraces the words it follows ever so closely, a work of art." |
 |
| Lyrics: |
The Future is not what it used to be it seems Fear's trying to live where it has no place Evil has no place in the world Thank God for strength to wipe away the tears
Don't let your light fade to dim In a world where love is Don't let your light fade to dim Day and Night Thank God for strength to wipe away the tears
On and on day and night Dusk until dawn we fight the fight Never surrender until the end
Better days are on the way Someday soon we'll see Better days Never surrender until the end On and on day and night Dusk until dawn we fight the fight Never surrender until the end
Our hearts go on Evil has no place in the world I said to myself Stand tall and face the fear
Fear's trying to live where it has no place We'll rebuild and rise again We fight the fight Better days are on the way Soon my friends
On and on day and night Dusk until dawn we fight the fight Never surrender until the end Fear's trying to live where it has no place
Better days are on the way Someday soon we'll see Better days Never Surrender until the end On and on day and night Dusk until dawn we fight the fight Never Surrender until the end
Our hearts go on Evil has no place in the world I said to myself
Better days are on the way On and on day and night Dusk until dawn we fight the fight Never Surrender until the end Better days are on the way
Never Surrender until the end Better days are on the way Dusk until dawn we fight the fight Better days are on the way Never Surrender until the end Better days are on the way Soon my friends

Review by Liam Hamer, Carlisle, Cumbria, U.K. (www.soulpowermusic.com): "From the opening bars this song draws you inward with it's dramatic spoken intro and the introduction of the synth strings and vocals. The contrast between overdriven guitar licks, synthesised voices and sensational vocals works beautifully to create an overall song texture that begs to be played over and over again. Lyrically this song will make a big impact with it's audience - because everyone needs someone to turn to and everyone wants someone to turn to them." |

| Lyrics: |
Close your eyes tonight There is a wish in every mind A wish for more time
Close your eyes Love inside Close your eyes
When times get tough Turn, turn to me There is a wish for release
I dream of you by my side If you believe, I will set you free When times get tough Turn, turn to me There is a wish for release
I dream of you by my side If you believe, I will set you free
When times get tough Take it away Somewhere circulating in space
Close your eyes tonight In a distant land, close your eyes
When times get tough Turn, turn to me Close your eyes Said that you will never leave me There is a wish for release
When times get tough Said that you will never leave me Turn to me There is a wish for release
Turn to me
Close your eyes I dream of you by my side For release
Turn to me

Review by William Mendez, Mexico-City
"Now this one is sooo well produced and it has so many interesting details that I can listen to it for hours discovering each and everyone of them one by one. Great arrangement!!! (it sounds 80's too, more Toto kinda) but is so well done that makes you forget genres and trends.
First of all I have to mention the guitar part on 3:00/3:08 which totally drives me crazy. On the other hand I'm not so crazy about the synth sound (first appearance 0:25),love the notes not the timbre.
The melodic treatment is similar to "In This Life's" melody but here I can't find a distinctive part where to put the chorus when analyzing morphologically. That, in my opinion, makes the song less marquetable. However there's a melodic pattern which is used a lot (may be cuz it's beautiful)First appearance -1:00/1:03---"If you want me too". |
 |
| Lyrics: |
You speak so softly to me The only thing I hear is love I keep these feelings hidden Behind my shell inside Fearing, It'll take away too much The only thing I hear is love Hidden behind my shell Feel it coming down
If you want me too I'll make you feel whole I'll carry you home with me I'll make you feel whole again And I'll carry you home I'll lift you in your sleep I will carry you home with me again
With your head on my chest You could hear the ocean The only thing I hear is love Yet it's not able to hide Fearing, It'll take away too much You let go of the past times
If you want me too I'll carry you home with me I'll make you feel whole And I'll carry you home
Cause when you let the wall fall I'll lift you in your sleep I will carry you home with me
That night we spent was For you to feel the beating of This gentle heart inside Fearing, It'll take away too much For you to feel the beating of This gentle heart inside
If you want me too I'll carry you home, with me.. I'll lift you in your sleep
The only thing I hear is love

Review by Chris from Sisters of Sharon
"In this life" starts off with a great acoustic guitar which conjures up images of summer sun & fun. This song creeps into your mind, as do the instruments; bringing a feeling of euphoria. Mike's voice is perfectly matched to the music. The bridge & the lyrics are great; bursting with passion. The entire song is fresh and unlike Mike Burn's previous offerings.
Review by William Mendez, Mexico-City
"The melodic morphology is audaciously asymmetric but it reaches a climax on the chorus. Reminds me of John Cougar and Bruce Springsteen singing style. The melody is the lyric's slave here, chaotic yet effective. The american way.
Harmonically, the modulation from G+ to A+ (1:44 ) is another proof of Mr.Mister influence. The guitar playing - perfect as always. No more no less, just what's needed. Worthy of mention is the intro acoustic guitar!! Then again the arrangement has the typical 80's feel." |

Take a sip from the vine Can you taste my words Now exhale the wind And inhale the world
In this life What I see is preception What I feel is pure imagination
...laughing in the falling rain I'm dancing in your pride Now your covered in stains I've placed upon your insides Between what you've found Communicate in high demand Still confident, you stand To reveal the secret grounds
Now take a sip from the vine Can you taste my words Now exhale the wind
Your thoughts have played To bring you back to me In so-called reality... To contemplate your meaning And face your destiny In this life
Take a sip from the vine Can you taste my words Now exhale the wind And inhale the world
In this life
What I see is preception What I feel is pure imagination In this life
I'm laughing in the falling rain I'm dancing in your pride Now your covered in stains I've placed upon your insides In this life
Take a sip from the vine Can you taste my words Now exhale the wind And inhale the world
In this life
What I see is preception What I feel is pure imagination

"*Warning* - 'Join It' may cause musically induced goosebumps. This is a sensational Pop ballad featuring sexy vocals, brilliant production, and the most tasteful lead guitar you will ever hear.
Mike Burn puts on a songwriting clinic with this gem, demonstrating his trademark ability to weave his contagious melodies throughout the imaginative electronic backbone and solid rhythm section.
I just can't get enough of this one, reminding me of a favorite old 45 rpm record that's played over and over until the needle wears through to the rubber on the turntable. Listen to this song once, and you'll be back for more, like a child who can't keep his hands out of the cookie jar!" |

When I'm thinking About our good times Yes, I miss your touch... And I have no words To describe whats going on With you
Right now in my mind Right now in my mind
Join my days Join my nights Join my life Don't think twice, again...
It's raining Nobody on the streets Join my days And join the nights, with me
Join my days I would like to share it with you Come on, join my life
Come on, come on Join my days Join my nights Join my life Don't think twice, again
Its raining Join my days I would like to share with you Come on, Come on Join my nights Join my dreams Join my life Don't think twice, again...
Join my daydreams As you need yours
Let's searchin' for compromise Join my dreams I would like to share with you Join my daydreams
When im thinking About our good times I'm missing your touch

Review by Ralph Dee (Lords of House) www.mp3.com/remixpro : Listen to "Listen" an its melody will stay in your ears for hours...The structure of the song couldn't be better, some nice breaks without beat and with FX (or Filters) put on the vocals and THEN you get some GREAT guitar-parts. Just good stuff. It's the soundtrack to spring. Not many people have managed to combine cool synth sounds with an electric guitar the way Mr. Burn did it in this song... |

Listen once again Listen once again Listen once again Just see the sign
The gutters hold your shit And the tears wash it away Leaving marks on your lips I cannot stand your misery So don't bring back the past I'm exhausted by the same old act I'm taking back what's mine
Take away this crown It's based upon disarray Listen, you cant stop the rain
The gutters hold your shit And the tears wash it away Leaving marks on your lips I cannot stand your misery Listen once again I cannot stand your misery Don't reach out to me Don't take my reason Listen once again I'm exhausted by the same old act
Take away this crown It's based upon disarray Take away this crown Im taking back whats mine
The gutters hold your shit Leaving marks on your lips I cannot stand your misery Listen once again Answers, you cannot find Listen once again I'm exhausted by the same old act
Listen once again I collected my dividends Listen once again
Take away this crown It's based upon disarray Take away this crown Listen to the child cry
Slap the wrist without reason Don't reach out to me Listen to the child cry Slap the wrist without reason Don't reach out to me Listen to the child cry
Im taking back whats mine Listen to the child cry Im taking back whats mine
Take away this crown It's based upon disarray Don't reach out to me

Power-Ballad with guitars...
Review by BERM ( http://www.mp3.com/berm ) from Auckland, New-Zealand:
"Sophie MP3 has a pretty melody and great vocals, powerful and catchy. Smooth backing track, some funk with rock, a modern sound, a deep bass and tasteful lead guitar work. Mike Burn displays a powerful blend of styles in his songwriting. I would recommend this song for all pop vocal fans!"
Review by ALFANAN ( http://www.mp3.com/alfanan ) from Lewisville, Texas, USA
"I love the way the song starts out. The guitar melody that keeps kicking in and out is just breathtaking. Vocals are excellent. Listening to the guitar solo now. This track is very well put together. Production, Guitar work, Vocals, and background instruments are all blending in just right. I also like the effects that you added to the vocals. Gives it a nice ring. Great work on this track, I can see it being played on the radio. Nice job." |

I dream about everything you do If you only knew
cause you're so beautiful I care, cause we're inseparable you slipped inside my open heart I know, I am in love with you everything you do
You know the words I say are true We kissed like it was our last day Is it you I hear I know, I am in love with you feel the same way feel the same way
everything you do cause you're so beautiful
Is it you I hear I stare, cause you're so beautiful I care, cause we're inseparable I know, I am in love with you you know the words I say are true
I hear the sound Is it you I hear I dream about everything you do We shared a moment of my dream this way I dream about
everything you do If you only knew
I look around…
cause you're so beautiful Is it you I hear I stare, cause you're so beautiful
I know, I am in love with you I know, I am in love with you everything you do cause you're so beautiful
(at night, at night) #guitar#
cause you're so beautiful is it you I hear I stare, cause you're so beautiful I care, cause we're inseparable I know, I am in love with you
you know the words I say are true
cause you're so beautiful Is it you I hear and how your dream came true I know, I am in love with you
everything you do

Remix of the orginal vocal tracks sung by Nadine Renee (YOU will be always remembered!).
Review by I.B.Morgan, Isle of Wight, Hampshire - U.K: Nice atmospheric tripped intro moves into a funky groove with great soulful vocals. Cool Electric guitar stabs and solos roll and ripple across this Smooth production in all the right places. The intro atmospherics return and twist and interact at points throughout the track, to add perfect spaciness to the excellent vocals and instruments at work. A cool grooved Summer filled Environment of sound. Echoes of cool 80's influences. Overall a great mix, with nothing out of context. This man knows his stuff!. Highly recommended listening. |

**Review by Preston Parker ( http://www.mp3.com/Preston_Parker ) from Bradenton, Florida, USA: "Great hard sound mixed with neat little melodies, then it turns into an all out dance track! What the hell are you saying by the way? Not your usual dance mix, definately not eurotrash. You go through great changes in dynamic, no one segment is repeated ad nauseum. The vocals sound great whatever they're saying - like a creepy disney ride. Dark little tune. Very cool." |

Ambient beginning, but...bobota-club-gas ! ***Review by anrkeboy ( http://www.mp3.com/anrkeboy ) from Colorado Springs, USA: As a drummer and an electronic musician, I love when an artist pushes the boundaries of what is usually a pretty straightforward aspect of dance/techno music, the drums, and on Never Ask for Matzke Mike Burn does exactly that, creating a bit of confusion at first as the snare (hand clap, really) and bass seem to be working against each other, but the vibe that creates is great, especially when the rest of the music kicks in to solidify the groove. Although there's not many transitory aspects of the melody pieces, the song still pumps a groove that forces a listener to bob their head whether they want to or not. Tasty stuff, definitely a hard house groove with the drums but lots of trance elements in the bass and synths which is a perfect combination for this track! |

Review by DJ TRANSCEND from Glasgow-Dunbartonshire, Scotland: "I choose your track "Online" to review and i'm really glad I did - its a really brilliant track! Your production skills are first class. I'm only listening on lo-fi at the moment but this sounds so lush and everything is well placed within the mix. I also like your choice of sounds very much. The structure of the track is excellent and manages to stay unpredictable throughout.I can't praise this track highly enough. Anybody reading this should really make the effort to check this one out." |

Review by William Mendez, Mexico-City
"I like everything here but the bass-drum sounds too acoustic for my taste. Same happens with the snare at 2:32[acoustic + rvb and panned (r)] Is it acoustic drum? The bass pattern is very, very good !.........reminds me of Steps Ahead (with M.Brecker). It has this electronic/jazz fussion feel which is so great for improvising over." |

Review by Zack Hagan ( http://www.mp3.com/zhagan ), North White Plains, NY, USA
"Beat- four on the floor, cymbal work is interesting and original, shaker/hht filtered noise is great, and the snares are well placed, fills are minimal but evolving2.
Melody / Harmony- good, i love the way the synths blend together, the lead synth sound is pretty common i'm still deciding what it means to the track. Arrangement- good solid techno/house/trance 8 measures and move on.
Mood- grove is in the circuitry, i like this, it makes me want to roll all over the room. Sonic integrity (engineering)- excellent... especially the hhts and the guitar/synth sounds. Originality- it has it's own original mood, i've heard a lot of these elements before but never blended in this way." |

Review by BeatTRibe, CA-USA: "...The cinematic beginning is awesome and very absorbing. Then the beat kicks in with the pulsing intermittent chemical bass line and another level is achieved. The guitar solo also adds a cinematic quality and for some reason it reminds me of sleak car racing through the rainy misty Europa city-light night..." |

New song about the same old story...
Review by Kelly Adams, Canada ( mp3.com/kellyadams )
"If this is generation 'x', 'Sonya' just might be it's theme song. A mix of genres and eras, this vintage Mike Burns track features a lead guitar that offers soundtrack worthiness while synths lend themselves to all that made 80's pop hot again. The beat gives the whole track a club feel while the lead vocals are often accented with cool vocoder harmonies that make you forget all about Cher. Don't be suprised if you dial up to this track on your usual radio station!"
Review by Tom Sielaff, USA
"What's not to like. What I think is really sweet about this song is I can hear at least 4 different era's of music all put into one song. I hear some guitar licks that remind me of the early 80's, the dance beat of today, early 90's synth, and the vocals are reminding me of video music on TV from the booming years in the mid 80's. Quite the mixture. I sometimes have a hard time figuring out where it's going to go. That, may be what makes it unique. "Someone" earlier said they had a problem with the song having guitar in it. Hell, that's what makes the song."
Review by Jon, USA ( mp3.com/Netjams ): "I hear something for everybody in that one"
Review by Randy Stockton, USA
"SONYA is one of those few songs that you listen to and then have it stuck in your mind in replay mode.Nice work all the way around on this one, the vocals are great and the vibe the music sends off is both relaxing and "ROCK" worthy."
Review by Preston Parker, USA
"Don't touch that guitar track!! It's stunning. The loose wandering structure of the song is what's really different, so many styles, electronica, a little disco, an Alan Parson's Project vibe, the human and computerized vocals work great together. The best part though is definitely that guitar."
Review by Kathy Reynolds, USA ( mp3.com/KathyReynolds ): "Jam central with cool guitar and beats that never miss vocals are coming from a heart that is truly connected all the way through out this tune." |

Reflecting impressions of a winter-trip to Calgary/Canada. Such a beautiful landscape !
Review by Alemis from Hiratsuka, Kanagawa - Japan
"Platinum" is a very special piece of music. With the unique and unlikely combination of intricate tapdance-like polyrhythms, hazy melodies and chords, and driving back beats all skillfully interwoven into a flowing ever-changing texture; Mr. Burn takes us on a very remarkable listening experience.
One never knows what to expect next. But strangely, when it's all finished, all the pieces have come together in a very satisfying manner. Definitely Electronic music at its very best." |

Review by DISLIFE from Björklinge, Sweden
"This song sounds to me like it might as well haver been the soundtrack for Miami Vice. The song is very 80's and I like that. The guitars interact nicely with the bass line and the arrangement of the song is great! The guitar line has got a good hook which make the song easy to remember. Very good programming, I guess that Mike has been doing this for quite a while. Over all a very good song!" |

Oh my god! He told my that he used to play the guitar in the Nasszelle of his flat near the Volksuniversität Jena instead of studying physics and planwirtschaftlicher Kartoffelanbau. The DDR died, but his tune is still alive! |
