| Lyrics: |
Standing on the top of this hill I see a million passers by in and out of life Life's to short to spend your time Pushing and shoving everyone around….. Don't be crazy
Standing on the top of this hill You can see the wind blow Life's to short to be around Pushing and shoving everyone around Believe, believe, believe
You, you can make a difference You can change the way you see the world Not only the day You, you can make a difference You can change the way you see the world Not only today
You can change the way you see the world Not only today You, you can make a difference
You can change the way you see the world Not only today You, you can make a difference
You can change the way you see the world today Take your sprit higher and the love high You can change the way you see the world Not only the day
Life's to short to spend your time Pushing and shoving everyone around Don't be crazy
Light up the sky You can see the wind blow Been hypnotised and paralysed broken down broken down inside. let in the sunshine
You, you can make a difference You can change the way you see the world Not only the day
You, you can make a difference You can change the way you see the world Not only the day You, you can make a difference You can change the way you see the world Not only the day
Pushing each other can set ourselves free You can change the way you see the world Not only the day
You, you can make a difference!!!

Up there is silence Soundless, no whispers Picture the distance Out of Sight Light in the darkness With echoes of being A life on its own With limitless feeling Out of Sight
Millions of diamonds Colours beyond Open the gateway For imagination Out of sight There is no tomorrow No yesterday gone A ship on its voyage Heading for home
Secrets and mysteries Undiscovered beauty The future is out there timeless and waiting So who has the key? For the whole of affinity |

Say what you mean boy Say what you mean boy Say what you mean boy Say what you mean boy
You’re driving me crazy without a doubt Pulling my insides inside out If you don’t want me let me go If you don’t care let me know
If all the things you said were true Why do I feel so confused I’m not a child don’t play with me Respect is what I really need
Walking on air a few weeks ago Just listening to you on the telephone Saying things you wanted me to hear Know you no longer want me near
No more excuses save the lies I can see right through your eyes One last chance you’ll get from me So get it right make me believe
The clock keeps ticking I keep missing you The phones not ringing I keep missing you
The clock keeps ticking I keep missing you The phones not ringing I keep missing you
Say what you mean boy Say what you want boy Say want you mean boy Make me believe boy
The clock keeps ticking I keep missing you The phones not ringing I keep missing you
The clock keeps ticking I keep missing you The phones not ringing I keep missing you
Say what you mean boy Say what you mean boy |

Give me just one night And I will make it right I need this chance I want this dance I need to be with you I want this dance So promise me you will stay a while I need this chance I want this dance I need to be with you Come closer put your arms in mine I need this chance I need to be with you And I will make it right I need this chance I need to be with you And I will make it right It's no wonder why I feel this deep inside And I will make it right What I'm contemplating Give me just one night And I will make it right Only one night Only one night Give me one night And I will make it right
Give me just one night And I will make it right I need this chance I want this dance I need to be with you
I need this night alone One night alone with you Only one night I need this chance I need to be with you And I will make it right I need this chance I want this dance And I will make it right
I want this life to be All yours and mine I need to be with you Only one night Give me one night
I want this life to be All yours and mine

Recorded at Kalinkaland Studio, Frankfurt/Main, Germany All Instruments by Löwy/Javelin except: Stratocaster played by Mike Burn & 12 String Guitar played by David Lee Howard; Guitars recorded at Mike Burn's Studio, Frankfurt/Main. This Song is Part of the LP 'Broken Surface' by Ion Javelin (ex-Moskwa TV) & Harald Löwy (Chandeen). Released: 1/2003
More Info: www.IonJavelin.com
Review by Rick Munarriz, Miami, Florida, USA ( mp3.com/ParisByAir ): Like a match struck in the fog, Broken Surface is an illuminating tune draped in thick melodic layers. Ion Javelin and Harald Löwy lay down some silky smooth tracks while Mike Burn and David Lee Howard pepper the song with top-notch guitar work. The poetic lyrics are spoken, weaving in and out of cozy musical bed that's laid before it. It may be a broken surface, but it certainly does not need fixing.
Review by Ken Trancus, Fayetteville, North Carolina - USA (mp3.com/Ken_Tancrus): "This track is amazing. The amount of space between each instrument gives it an airy, live quality that is the perfect juxtaposition to the filtered breathy vocals. I especially like the alternating snare sounds. In close then outside. The guitar accents are in just the right place at just the right time. Truly outstanding. It doesn't get any cleaner than this."

The broken Surface (Ion Javelin)
I try so try so very hard to get into a shady zone of Central Park but being on my way right in the midday heat a big parade is taking place right in the open street
look: the cheer leaders' bodies are made of plastic and they move as if they all were spastic I see their pallid faces - one by one recognize no difference in the hazy sun
can't keep control - in this state of mind I sense blindness for the fate of mankind I begin to see it - step by step - the broken surface is a matter of fact
I try so try so very hard to get to the other side of Central Park but can't keep control - in this state of mind I see the blindness for the fate of mankind
lots of heads keep on talkin' about the overload but do we really travel on a quiet road all this pressure from my head to my feet I feel this city's comin' down on me
the atmosphere of down town maybe drives you insane 'cause the city's gettin' crasser every f*****' day I've just begun to see it - step by step - the broken surface is a matter of fact |

Review by Von Babasin, California, USA: "Very impressive collaboration of talent here. Ria's vocals are beautiful and you have a very unique instrumentation. The tuba and bassoon were a surprise but the oboe solo in the middle was what caught my attention. Very difficult instrument to solo on. And the production is stellar. Great work all around." |

| Lyrics: |
Promises, I dedicate my love to you I guess you're tired of hearing the same old story And I'm tired of walking the same old way You'll hear me now, you'll hear me now forever more Dedicate my love to you, now and forever This will be a debt that's true, now and forever
Be no more, be no more next time here is now There be no more, there be no more next times It's here and now, it's here and now, it's here and now
I'm telling the truth, I haven't been true, I haven't done the things, that I promised I would do
But I've been tired of walking, the same old walk I'm tired of talking the same old talk There be no more next time, you hear me now That it's true, now and forever
Be no more, be no more next time here is now There be no more, there be no more next times It's here and now, it's here and now, it's here and now
I'm telling the truth, I haven't been true, I haven't done the things, that I've promised I would do
There be no more, there be no more next times It's here and now, it's here and now, it's here and now
I'm telling the truth, speaking the words Walking the walk, feeling the love There be no more, there be no more next times It's here and now, it's here and now, it's here and now
Forever, forever, we are one together No more promises, no more promises that I don't mean No more promises, no more words that I don't mean There be no more, together

we seem to be complicated you seem preoccupied these things are interrelated see how these things are entwined i guess i never noticed how lonely it must be to feel this everyday
she can be swayed and she can be swayed
in a hundred million ways!
gridlock sunset before me and the snow is black as coal the northern winds will soon migrate and it leaves the city alone
i guess i never noticed how lonely it must be to feel this everyday

CONFESSION
Take my hand And let me Help you understand Look me in the eyes.. And I will show you.. The love I have inside
And that soft voice That comforts my soul What I'd give.. To hear it everyday..
I've seen youhere before I'd recognize that smile From miles away
For everyday and every night I promise you this, tonight I'll never turn my back again And this is my lesson I'll never turn my back again I promise you this, tonight I'll never turn my back again I'll always be by your side And this is my lesson
Look me in the eyes.. And I will show you.. I will show you all The love I have inside Take my hand And let me Help you understand Look me in the eyes.. And this is my confession
For everyday and every night I promise you this, tonight I'll never turn my back again I'll always be by your side
And this is my lesson I'll never walk away again And this is my confession

Collaboration track with NINA on vocals. Music, arrangement and additional vocals by Mike Burn.
Review by "GIGS" ( mp3.com.au/gigs ), Santa Monica, California, USA: "This song is kind of a Eurythmics meet Old Bon-Jovi with maybe a little of the upbeat Leonard Cohen (I say all of that as a good thing if you're wondering). If my name was 'Austin Powers' and I would have listened to this song all I could say would be 'Yeah baby, yeah'. This song is loaded with some very smooth guitar licks, the sound produced for guitar and all the instruments for that matter is of a very high quality, the only thing I may have done differently would be adding a break in the beat at the end of the first chorus, I'm thinking "It's a sin" as a good example. (Can't remember who sings that song...). I listened to the song about 4-5 times before writing this and I must say that the first time around there were a couple of spots with vocals I didn't like, but they kinda grew on me. The only thing that didn't is 'When they came at me..." (The second line in the song) it seems like she swallowed a word in there".

Review by "The Luddites" (mp3.com/theluddites), Atlanta, GA, USA: "Production is excellent. As a salsa alone this song will get your feet hopping. The singing is well done. The guitar rocks the song and soars into a Santana like lead."
Review by Lucy of www.foxmusic.com, London, U.K.: "On playing this track and hearing the infectious keyboard intro, the listener is instantly transported to the the sultry streets of Rio De Janeiro during the height of Carnival time. The music conjurs up images of swirling dancers in radiant costumes. The song builds smoothly, the velvet vocals, and trumpet groove ensuring the track cruises along effortlessly. That is until a blazing guitar solo lifts the song to another level, emulating the frenzy of a Brazilian crowd at the height of Fiesta.....A must listen." |

want to go to the movies ? have some fun ? want to meet some friends? where do you want to go today ? think about your outfit think about your style and just do what is good for you
cause this is your day, this is your day you gain a break now you gave all you have and there is nothing left
really nothing left at all
go ahead and get what you deserve where do you want to go today ? think about what lies behind you think about where you go through and just do what is good for you
'cause this is your day, go and win it 'cause this is your day, go and win it
this is your new start, the past has finished this is your new start, the past has finished this your day you gain a break now 'cause this is your day you gave all you have
where do you want to go today? any ideas? Any suggestions? want to go to the movies ? have some fun? Wanna meet some friends? where do you want to go today? this is your day. Go and win it 'cause this is your day 'cause this is your day

I better go because I know Before too long. We're gonna wind up makin' love. Our passion is runnin' too strong.
Aint nothin' wrong With makin' love When the love you make feels right. I know you agree That's the way it must be so Let's Just say good night. You want me and I need you too Even if we give into our passion In the mornin' we'd feel guilty. Aint nothin' wrong With makin' love When the love you make feels right. I know you agree That's the way it must be so Let's Just say good night. |

| Lyrics: |
Standing on this ground Don’t want to walk away Standing on this ground You belong to me
Standing on this ground We are history
Fire in the water Something has changed It’s taking forbidden naked flames
Pressure getting stronger Mythical rains I need you, I want you, another day
Standing on this ground Don’t want to walk away Standing on this ground Don’t want to turn around Standing on this ground If we are history Standing on this ground You still belong to me
Open up the doorway Walk through the line That takes you to standing Awakened in time
Can’t get any closer
I breathe in your soul Don’t ever be frightened I won’t let you go
Standing on this ground Don’t want to walk away Standing on this ground Don’t want to turn around
Standing on this ground If we are history Standing on this ground You still belong to me
Standing on this ground Don’t want to walk away Standing on this ground Don’t want to turn around
Standing on this ground If we are history Standing on this ground You still belong to me
You still belong to me Standing on this ground We are history Standing here |

Review by Ashley Earl, Kings Lynn, Norfolk U.K. ( mp3.com/One_Less_Joker ): "This song has that wonderful free feeling that you only get when 'talented' musicians get together to jam. I can almost feel the intuition between the artists. Each one brings a different style and approach into the fray in this track. When listening I get the feeling that light is dark and dark is light. When I feel this and I'm still enjoying it, then thats good Jazz! and it is." |

Review by Helge Krabye ( mp3.com/HelgeKrabye ), Oslo, Norway: "This is a great blues instrumental with Mike in more than good shape! It starts off with a nice acoustic guitar and then... Mike's emotional electric guitar in gliding, colorful notes. I love the break midway through where the tempo is changing and there are some interesting sounds. Then the electric guitar comes in again and builds an even more beautiful atomosphere. I want to listen again, cause the melody is allready haunting me! This is late night music I would listen to while driving my car on the wet road as the red sun is disappearing behind the dark hills". Credits: Sabrina, Randy, Ashley and Brittany!!! |

This is a very very good band and I am not saying that to make friends..I mean it, I was really kind of taken back a bit when I heard this music...Kate Cassidy has such a damn good voice ..it;s poweful, it's different, it;s De-lovely..and the rest of the music is just excellent..I am a new fan...Thankyou for original, great music..Kimo Holland/The THINK Bandband/music.php?id=45128 |

Powerful crunchy guitar chords in a Bachman Turner Overdrive stylee, equally powerful and soulful Tina Turneresque vocals from Kate Cassidy, fluid lead from Mike Burn, and a big band professional production make this a slice of real top quality rock music!

This is classic Mike Burn and crew! Solid production, amazing guitar, great vocals from Kate, and the band is smokin' hot! It's so nice to hear this fresh sound from a veteran group of talented musicians. Great hook and chorus...it's a hit!!! - Mark Hewer visit user websiteband/music.php?id=45128 |

Mike Burn: You have some very interesting tracks here indeed. You have quite a few different sounding elements throughout the numerous displays of art you have listed here. It would be great to collaborate with you some time. If you have time, please check out my music as well. Take care. Third Realm - visit user websiteband/music.php?id=45128 |
