I was listening to WKDU 91.7 fm, when DJ Marina started gushing about Ruin. I got a tape recorder running and was able to make this mp3 excerpt from the recording. |

This track appears on the 1996 cd re-issue, "Songs Of Reverie And Ruin" but was originally released on the rare Plus records compilation ep, "That Was Then, This Is Now" back in 1985. Though not a pure thrash speed metal track, it did please some headbangers back in the day. |

An unreleased home studio recording by a partial lineup of the band in 1996. Cordy Swope - Acoustic guitar, Electric guitar and Bass Vosco Tom Adams - vocals, sound fx and mix Glenn Wallis - rhythm guitar This tune was called "Dry Rot" and was performed live by the band since 1986 or so. Based on a riff by Glenn, the tune was fleshed out into an americana influenced tune by Cordy, with lyrics by Vosco.

Classic, great music to push yourself by, Loved having them as killer Skate rock for riding Vertical surfaces in the 80s-90s.
The influences listed really show through in their music. I'm glad to see it is available.

My Friends and I would drive to Philly every chance we could to see this band and many others back in the day. Usually it would be 13 bands for 10 bucks or something like that, in the basement of some old church. Maybe there would be 75- 100 people. Still some of the best music true to itself and able to invoke emotion and energy today. |

I've never heard anything like it. Utterly unique! What is it -- metal, folk, punk, dada-classical? It's rockin' and soothin' at the same time. It's strange yet familiar.
Are they still making music? They should be. . . |

Blazing, beautiful. What a strange combination of sounds and tempos. What a strange band. Wonderful. |

This is interesting music and is definetly something that catches attention. The production quality is rather poor, but the music is pretty decent. When they mentioned "the ramones" in their biography, I definetly made the connection. Not bad, not bad. |
