Miserable Girl
I know you'll be waiting for me As I get home from work Your face is smiling and it really cheers me up I've been pretty down lately and it's nothing to do with you It's my everyday hassles making me feel so blue
And so good bye Farewell See you in another world You miserable girl And so good bye Farewell See you in another world You miserable girl
What to blow away this aching Be back to my normal self But you just being around me brings me brings me back to Earth I've been pretty down lately and it's nothing to do with you It's my everyday hassles making me feel so blue
And so good bye Farewell See you in another world You miserable girl And so good bye Farewell See you in another world You miserable girl
Aah
And so good bye Farewell And so good bye Farewell
Aah |

Stop you before you start Before you start
Let it go, Let it flow free Let it go, let it flow free
Don't let your head always rule you're heart Don't let your fears stop you before you start

Great stuff, guys! I hope there's more to come & I'd be interested in purchasing next time.
Chris S is right about B4Ustart & Bi. A few nice slots in there available for some ambient effects. Contact me and I'll render some 3D sound effects for you on our cluster solution.

Miserable Girl-
This is a good pop number with some mellow-soul vocal stylings. The music compliments the vocal rather well, and provides more diversity than the standard pop-fare you hear every day on the radio and TV.
Very spicy arrangement. The beat is thoughtfully done, and the keyboards are really tasteful. I'm reminded of a lot of other artists in the genre, but I try not t ...o be too comparative when reviewing becasue I know how frusttrating that can be (how would you like to be refered to time and time again as James Taylor...with hair).
Anyway...the lyrics are perfect in my opinion. Not too shallow, but not so deep as to get you wrapped up in a tirade on social injustice and all that. There are times when you just want to listen to a song and enjoy the way it sounds over all, and I think that this is one of those songs.
This has all the elements that I enjoy when in a "smoker-friendly" environment. Tight arrangement, casual ellagance, thoughful lyrics, and killer vocals.

Top quality recordings. You often out-Moby Moby himself. I think some more ambient noise underneath a few of the tracks would help. And some more filter/gate action on the synths. But superb vocal sound and performance. Great harmonies. Listen to some of the Hed Kandi "Winter Chill" CDs for some more production ideas for this kind of genre. 4 stars from me...o be too comparative when reviewing becasue I know how frusttrating that can be (how would you like to be refered to time and time again as James Taylor...with hair).

Barbara and John, you make very good musical material! I will put your songs on my cd collection for regular rotation. Those three songs available at Interconnected stand out according to me in their respective styles. o be too comparative when reviewing becasue I know how frusttrating that can be (how would you like to be refered to time and time again as James Taylor...with hair).
