Rec, Mix and Master: where to start:
Howdy everyone.
Someone has to start this forum, so I think I'll start it with pointers to some good
books about mixing and mastering that I highly recommend:
Mixing:
The Mixing Engineer's Handbook (Bobby Owsinski)
Mastering:
Mastering Audio: The Art and the Science (Bob Katz)
Another one with is known to be good for recording (that's second hand information,
I don't own it is:
Recording:
The Recording Engineer's Handbook (Bobby Owsinski)
If your songs still sound amateurish after reading these I recommend
buying some talent first
Tom
