The King Is Dead, Long Live The King!
Within the next week (31th Oct - 6th Nov), IC-Musicmedia will be relaunched under a new name: SoundLift.com
Since our original launch, we have been committed to bringing you the best in independent music and provide you with a user friendly interface and useful upgrade services.
As the site has grown, we have stretched our initial design to its limits. We began to realize what was missing, what needed to be refined, and what needed to go. From there, we set out to spruce up the site's design. Each area of the website has been given a fresh coat of paint so that its even easier to find the content you are looking for. Overall the new layout is more structured and provides a better content presentation.
We also felt it was time to rethink the name and URL of the site. It's a revamp/relaunch under a new name which is done by us - there was no other company buying IC-Musicmedia or similar.
We hope to bring you a music site that meets the high expectations we all had for IC-Musicmedia.com when it first started. Although the product we envision is similar to IC-Musicmedia.com, it's going to be different in some ways. We will bring our artists and music audience the same level of service that IC-Musicmedia.com has provided to you in the past.
3 important things you should know!
1.) When SoundLift.com launches next week, you will be able to login to your (former) IC-Musicmedia accounts with the same login-data using the following new admin area link on openmusicsource.net. You do not have to bookmark this URL as it will also be linked from our new SoundLift website. We just wanted to keep you informed that band administration will take place directly on the Open Music Source website from the date of relaunch.
2.) Old IC express URLs (band URLs) will still work until 1st. of January 2006, references on your own webpages (if you created any) should be updated prior to this date and replaced i.e.:
www.ic-musicmedia.com/your_band_URL
into
www.soundlift.com/your_band_URL
3.) The Forum will be re-designed too, however your current accounts and everything attached to it will remain intact.

Back in the days it was interconnected.de (only the German domain). As we grew, we changed design and were in need of a .com address. IC-Musicmedia came to our mind. Now along with the new and final design (never say never) we saw the chance of getting a shorter URL without any separation by hyphen. People simply remember shorter URLs better.
Most importantly: we like the new name and think it stands for what we work for. |

It's one of the nasty side effects of a complete name- and URL-change that old links will cause unavoidable problems over some time for all involved!   |

As promised, the new IC-Musicmedia: Soundlift.com is now online!
Please note that the video section (the video-link in the navigation) and displaying videos on the bandpages is currently under construction! We will put this feature online as soon as possible. Along with that you will be able to purchase video upgrade packages to upload more than one video to Soundlift.
Now, let us know what you think about out new website!
